North London Sport Makers

North London Sport Makers

SIR STEVE REDGRAVE, Sport Makers Ambassador visited North London Sport Makers at Middlesex University on Wednesday 30th November 2011. This was a fantastic and inspirational opportunity for Sport Makers who have started their journey in North London and more information, pictures and footage about the event can be found here.

The Sport Makers programme, which will run from September 2011 to 2013, is part of the 'People' strand of Sport England's London 2012 Mass Participation Legacy programme 'Places People Play'.

This project will use the inspirational pull of London 2012 to recruit, train and deploy 40,000 new sports volunteers aged 16 years and over to increase sporting provision across country. Suceeding 2013, it is anticipated that many Sport Makers will continue to volunteer locally, further enhancing sport participation and the London 2012 legacy.

Visit www.sportmakers.co.uk for more information and to register as either a Sport Maker or Provider.
