What are Multi Skills Advanced Workshops?

The importance of developing 'physical literacy' in children is exceptionally high on the agenda and has resulted in a huge demand for quality resources to support coaches and teachers in delivering FUNdamentals and multi-skill programmes. sports coach UK have taken a lead in this area, notably through the workshops 'An Introduction to the FUNdamentals of Movement (MS2)' and 'Multi-Skills Induction' (developed by sports coach UK in conjunction with the Youth Sports Trust).

To provide further support to coaches who want to extend their knowledge and understanding in this area, sports coach UK are currently piloting the following resources (working titles):

Developing Balance for FUNdamental Movement

Developing Co-ordination for FUNdamental Movement

Developing Agility for FUNdamental Movement

Who are they aimed at?

These three new 3-hour workshops are aimed at coaches that have attended 'An Introduction to the FUNdamentals of Movement' or the 'Multi-Skills Induction' and are currently working in a multi skills club within a London based Partnership. They offer a far more detailed exploration of the principles of Agility, Balance and Coordination with a focus on the key skills of observation, analysis and intervention.

How much do they cost?

There is no cost for these pilot workshops.

In the event of the pilots being oversubscribed places will be allocated across the partnerships in order to give as many multi skill clubs as possible the opportunity to view and comment on these new workshops.
