Hear from keynote speakers:
Simon Speller, public sector consultant and local authority councillor with over 20 years experience, on community development, sport and the ‘Big Society’
Robby Sukhdeo, social entrepreneur, on developing an innovative enterprise to develop sport, engage the local community and reduce crime. The award winning sustainable enterprise based at Albert Road Recreational Ground in Haringey, combines a café with sport facilities and sports development.
The programme also features FREE workshops and training including:
- Community Sports Enterprises providing great experiences the focus on how to introduce these new cultures and skills, so that our School Sports Partnerships, sports clubs, NGBs and other sports deliverers can prosper and deliver great sport experiences as sustainable Community Sports Enterprises
- Developing a social enterprise - This workshop will explore what is a social enterprise, what legal forms can social enterprises take, and how to develop an effective social enterprise
- Sustainable Funding for your enterprise - Workshop exploring potential sustainable funding streams available to social enterprises, including gift economy, grants, commissioning and trading
