You will deliver high quality sessions to swimmers within schools and clubs, focusing on young people with disabilities.
You will deliver high quality sessions to swimmers within schools and clubs, covering all levels of the Long Term Athlete Development model but focusing on: learn to swim, training to swim and training to compete. You will help deliver the recommendations of the Surrey County Swimming Associations Development Plan for Disability Swimming, creating a structure within which talented disabled swimmers can be identified and then developed to their full potential including working with emerging Surrey Disability Swimming Squads. This will include developing a relevant competitive structure to meet the needs of disability swimming within the county including leading on the initial development of Disability Swimming Galas, a Surrey County Disability Swimming Championships &/or a Surrey Youth Games Disability Swimming Competition. We are looking for high calibre candidates with a passion for, and experience of, swimming coaching; experience of working with those with disabilities is highly desirable. Hosted by Surrey County Council and based in Guildford, we offer an excellent benefits package including the local government pension scheme.
